Produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film was supposed to be released as a competition to “Pushpa 2” but.. at the request of the Pushpa team, it was postponed and brought to the audience today (February 14). Let’s see how this Maratha Maharaja biopic is..!!

Chhaava Movie Story:

After the death of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mughal emperor Aurangzeb (Akshaye Khanna) is proud that he has no competition.. Shambhu Maharaj (Vicky Kaushal) steps into the limelight. The Mughal army of millions is not able to resist Shambhu, who is advancing like a lion with the aim of establishing Swarajya as the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji.

However, the Mughals, knowing that Shambhu Maharaj is in Sanghmeshwar with a very small army, try to arrest him in Doddidar. Chhaava Movie Analysis:

Some movies are remembered till the theater gate, some movies are remembered till the time you reach home. “Chhaava” is a movie that lingers in your eyes for a few months. Vicky Kaushal's acting prowess, Laxman Utekar's taking, Rahman's music, action choreography, makeup work, all these elements will linger in your mind and make you want to watch it in the theater again. Vicky Kaushal's popularity in Bollywood is sure to start with this film.

Actors performance:

Even a National Award seems small for the acting prowess shown by Vicky Kaushal in this film. If you own a role so much.. tell me how he can live at this level. Especially in the last 20 minutes, Vicky's performance not only makes you cry but also awakens strong emotions deep in your heart. Vicky Kaushal has not only courage in his eyes, but also a seriousness in his throat.

Rashmika Mandanna impressed in another good role. Her role as a wife has good weightage, bearing the separation and the pain of her husband mentally. Many actors like Ashutosh Rana and Pradeep Rawat, who are shown as comedy villains in our Telugu films, have had excellent roles and elevations. It seems that we are wasting such good actors by not using them properly.

Technical performance:

The way A.R.Rahman's music elevated this film will be talked about for another ten years. From heroism to villainy.. from there, the way the heroine's love and the suffering of fellow soldiers were elevated in a very diverse way is commendable. Saurabh Goswami's cinematography work is very good. How he gave such a good output in such a low budget is a matter of debate.

After that, we should talk about the art department work & makeup work. The way Vicky Kaushal's injuries on his body were shown very realistically with prosthetics is amazing. There is no doubt that the department that should have won the award after Vicky is the makeup department. Also.. the way the art department helped to portray the guerrilla warfare scenes naturally rather than heavily is commendable.

The way Laxman Utekar elevated the character of Chava in a very simple way.. The way he described his greatness in the words of the Mughals will make the hairs of not only the Maratha audience but also the average audience stand on end. Laxman Utekar has joined the list of great directors with this film. The action director's work is also amazing. Especially the way he portrayed the sequence where Chava fights with the 5000-strong Mughal army is amazing.
